Day after Thanksgiving – feeding the homeless

The day after Thanksgiving is sometimes known as “Black Friday.” What will you be doing that day? Buying gifts for others, or being a gift to others?
COD will be joining Neighborhood Crusades on Black Friday, Nov. 23rd 1-3pm, to clothe and feed the homeless of Philadelphia. If you want to be a part of this, there is a sign-up sheet in the narthex. See Bob Tipton or Nancy Beale if you have any questions.
Also, Women’s Ministries will be giving a money gift to Neighborhood Crusades (our missionaries Dan and Esther Sawyer) allowing them to purchase the basic clothing (sweats, underwear, socks) and food for this outreach event. Our Ladies’ Bible Studies have already begun collecting money and we would like to open this collection to everyone in our church. If you should be so inclined, please give the money to Nancy Beale or the church office by THIS SUNDAY, November 4th. Our goal is to mail a check for $1,000.00 to the Sawyers by the second week of November, allowing them enough time to purchase the clothing and order food.
Thank-you for your generosity and may God bless you abundantly.
