    The one who believes that God created everything and that we singularly were created in God’s image and likeness with distinct and unique purposes, will approach life differently than the one living from a humanistic/naturalistic philosophy. Genesis declares that humanity is more than a mere slave to the gods, more than an evolved animal, and different from an exalted god; humanity is the pinnacle of God’s creation living in an exalted position by declaration of God. The two questions this passage answers are: “What is man?” and “Why are we here?” The answers will greatly impact your perspective for living.

    The creation account, recorded in Genesis 1 and 2, becomes the centerpiece for gaining a greater understanding and appreciation for living life from God’s perspective. The person who chooses to approach life from this perspective, will learn that no matter what challenges are faced in life, the infinite power of God is always at work. In the fourth, fifth, and sixth days of creation, God, once again, demonstrates his sovereignty and rule over his creation giving us every reason to “trust and obey, for there is no other way.”
