The Impact of the Resurrection

1 Corinthians 15:13-19
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is God’s affirmation of total acceptance for His payment against the penalty and power of our sin. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is God’s guarantee that Christ’s sacrifice for sin was accepted. The death of Christ would mean absolutely nothing, if He remained in the tomb. The penalty and power of sin would continue to be our greatest dilemma, if the bones of Jesus still remain in Joseph of Arimathea’s tomb. But fear not, He is risen! As a result, the penalty of sin has been paid and the power of sin has been defeated for all those who believe in Jesus Christ alone. Today, I want you to think with me concerning the outcome of our life if the resurrection never happened; but you also need to think with me the outcome if the resurrection did happen. It is important for you to decide who you will follow; Jesus or your skeptical unbelief.
