Church of the Open Door

The Composition of the Body of Christ by Dr. Glenn Jago

Romans 3:21-26

The Body of Christ, though composed of many members, is not divided; instead it functions as one organism under the headship of Jesus Christ. But, how did we become a part of this Body and what is the significance? Paul answers these questions by providing insight into the work of God through Jesus Christ who delivered us out of sin and declared us righteous. How amazing to realize that by no merit of our own we have become a part of the Body of Christ.

Therefore remember, the true invisible church is composed only of those who, by faith in Christ, have been declared righteous by God; there is, consequently, no room for boasting or escaping the responsibility all believers have in the Body of Christ.

Three truths to celebrate:

  1. God’s plan for salvation – Romans 3:21-22
  2. God’s picture of our need – Romans 3:23
  3. God’s provision to accomplish salvation – Romans 3:24-26
