The Fellowship of the Gospel The Saints in Christ Jesus Philippians 1:1-2 Psalm 14:1b There is no one who does good. Romans 3:23 …for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the answer to the problem. What the world needs from us is the Fellowship of the Gospel. I am further convinced that as we grow in the Fellowship of the Gospel, we will become attractive to those who are searching for answers to the deepest issues of life. Hagios has the sense of something that has been set aside of God’s use. Mackerel is not holy nor are cows! In Christ we have a whole new way of looking at life, a whole new way of seeing His hand and His sovereign will in all things. “…our past, our present, our future, and our eternal welfare has been secured for us by the action of God in Christ, and it stored up for us to share and to enjoy” In the New Testament we have grace, and it is God’s Grace–the free, spontaneous, unmerited love of God made available to sinful humanity in Jesus Christ. Numbers 6:24 The LORD bless you, and keep you; 25 the LORD make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you; 26 the LORD lift up His countenance to you, and give you Shalom. It seems to me that the sum of God’s activity toward us is found in the word grace. Leave a Reply Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
